BADT is a Black-owned, queer-run doula training organization whose mission is to be socially conscious, culturally appropriate, diverse, and action-oriented. We train our students to serve their clients using the best practices available while preparing them to be active partners in the movement to change birth and reproductive health culture locally, nationally and globally.

BADT Programming

BADT offers a wide range of trainings, courses and workshops. Our trainings are 12 weeks long, and include a certification option. Our 4-week continuing education courses will let you take a deep dive into a specific topic of interest. Our workshops allow us to offer even shorter learning spaces about topics that we believe to be fundamental for reproductive justice. Most of our offerings are available in live and prerecorded formats. You will also find trainings, courses, and workshop designed specifically for Canadian community care workers.

We have worked hard to make all of our programming as accessible and flexible is possible, which is part of the reasons we offer so many formats. We hope you enjoy exploring the options below!

As you read further, I truly hope that you will decide to join the BADT learning community with the full understanding that when you join this community, you are joining a MOVEMENT.
— Sabia Wade, BADT Founder
