General Overview
The Complete Curriculum includes:
Slide decks are provided for a weekend format as well as a four-session format. These decks are provided in both Powerpoint and Canva formats, and can be edited, added to, reordered, and more to reflect your brand, location-specific information, and different class formats.
Topics covered: Pregnancy Expriences (Changes, Discomforts, Providers and Care Settings), Self Advocacy (During Pregnacy, Labor, Birth and Postpartum), Labor (What to expect, Progression, Comfort Measures), Medical Support in Birth (Inductions, Technology and Interventions, Complications), Postpartum (Experiences, Planning and Infant Care).
The teacher companion guides provide you with teaching notes, so that as you move through class you have a roadmap of where to add details, activities, and more. The companion guide is available in an editable format to allow you to add to your notes as you make any changes to slides.
Over two dozen student handouts and 10 teacher handouts that will support you through the logistics of running of your class!

The BADT team has been working on this curriculum for a year, so that you don’t have to! During the creation process, we have incorporated feedback from CBE facilitators and doulas in our community to make sure that the curriculum is easy to use and as supportive as possible.

The Complete Curriculum is divided up between three items that - together - have everything you need to teach both a weekend-intensive or four-session course. If you want to purchase select items from the bundle on their own, we recommend that you purchase the handouts and the format of your choice (the weekend or the four-session).

BADT's curriculum is exactly what I'm looking for to start off my CBE classes! There is so much to love here: the inclusive language and illustrations, the prompts to consider accessibility and bias, the comprehensive coverage of the reproductive experience, and the amazing companion guide. The encouragement to create plans for a variety of experiences, including a NICU stay and the possibility of PMADs particularly spoke to me. This is a curriculum that can help a new educator get off to a good start, but can be easily customized as one grows more confident or to fit one's own unique circumstances. BADT's CBE Curriculum excites me in my bones. Having supported families and taught childbirth education for some time, I am eager to adopt this curriculum into my practice. This curriculum is so thoughtfully designed. It provides a roadmap to create a CBE course that is supportive and inclusive of all humans that feels as grounded, supportive and well researched as the BADT programs themselves. I can see this will help me launch my program without the barrier of creating my program with the blind spots and learning curve starting from scratch entails. The illustrations are beautiful, and inclusive. The intake form helped inform the questions I ask families for many of the programs I offer.
