Sabia (she/they) - The Black Doula - is a Radical Doula, Educator, Doula Business Coach, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (in training), and Reproductive Justice Advocate. She founded Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings in 2019 with the goal of bringing necessary education to doulas that are seeking to go beyond the traditional doula role and into advocacy work for the communities that need them.

Core JB (they/he) - of Love Over Fear Wellness and Birth - is a full-spectrum doula and community educator, with a passion for pelvises, humans, trauma-informed care, and the complexities of transformative justice. As a transmasculine, non-binary person, they are practiced in the art (and awkwardness) of transition, and bring this knowing and compassion to their work as an educator. He supports people through reproductive and identity-related transitions, and provides education to other professionals towards the end goal of a more affirming and gender-liberated world.

Davinah (she/they) is a Black full-spectrum doula and educator originally from Tongva land, otherwise known as Los Angeles, CA and is now living on unceded Coast Salish and Duwamish territory, commonly known as Seattle, WA. As a birth worker, Davinah is passionate about supporting her community as they make connections to the internal, spiritual and physiological landscapes that the reproductive spectrum introduces us to. She believes in ritual and ceremony to mark thresholds and commune with our grief, transitions, and becoming. Davinah relies deeply on her intuition, humor, and story-telling to create medicinal offerings to those that she supports. Davinah is most passionate about grief/loss and the postpartum experience.

Tema Mercado (she/her) of La Matriz Birth is a Xicana homebirth Midwife in San Diego and Partera Profesional Certificada in Mexico , mother to six children and a grandmother. Tema is a midwife but holds pride in being a Partera as well. Parteras are skilled at traditional bodywork, herbal support and spiritual practices. She believes that birth work can change the world and has dedicated the last 10 years to birth and reproductive justice on the U.S Mexico Border serving families on both sides of the border. Midwifery care offers the autonomy and the restorative practice that underserved and vulnerable populations need. La Matriz Birth is rooted in social justice and restorative practice.

Charlie Monlouis Anderle (they/them) is a Blaqueer, non-binary companion, educator, and advocate. They are based in Crown Heights, Brooklyn and are committed to economic, racial, and reproductive justice in their support for families of all incomes through any outcome of pregnancy. Charlie offers care for a full-spectrum of reproductive transitions from preconception through postpartum, gender transition, lactation, abortion, and pregnancy and infant loss. They are a postpartum chef, empowering families in their feeding choices while making sure that parents are also well nourished with replenishing foods. As a voice-lifter, resource-pollinator, and practicing hedonist, they live by the intention to--in the words of Toni Cade Bambara--make revolution irresistible.

Raeanne Madison, MPH (she/her) is a crane clan citizen of the Ojibwe nation and also carries Indigenous Mexika and mixed European heritage (French, English, Spanish, and Dutch). An Indigenous mother, full spectrum birth worker, and community educator, Raeanne has dedicated over a decade of service to her community. She has a special interest in land and kinship-based practices, food as medicine, and the reclamation of Indigenous ceremonial practices. Raeanne lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Masterclass Teacher

Erika Davis is a Black, Jewish, Lesbian, birth worker who lives and works in the Puget Sound Region on the ancestral lands of the Coastal Salish people. She's an advocate for Black and queer folks who give birth, infertility and pregnancy loss advocate, and racial justice advocate. She's the owner and founder of Whole Body Pregnancy, LLC, a birth organization focused on bringing awareness to the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of Labor, Birth, and Postpartum period. When she's not doing birth work she can be found in her vegetable and herb garden or writing. She's married to the love of her life and they had their first child in the summer of 2021.

Aruna Boodram (they/she) is a queer, fat, gender expansive community organizer and legal worker from the Caribbean diaspora based in Treaty 13, Dish with One Spoon Wampum territory (Toronto). She is an educator and facilitator that works within the legal world, is centered in collective liberation, abolition, decolonization and loves teaching about fertility, queer and trans family planning and supporting QTBIPOC families. She is the autonomous-solo (by choice) parent of Surya Amaris, a thriving and resilient former 24 weeker micro-preemie Sagittarius. Aruna is also a therapist in training, the advice columnist for Shameless Magazine, council member for the Children’s Peace Theatre in Toronto and a National Family Advisor for the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation.

Masterclass Teacher

Hollis (she/her) is a postpartum doula, registered Kangaroula, and educator in Dallas, TX providing virtual and in-person doula services to support families of all kinds through hospitalization/bed rest, life in the NICU, and the transition home. Hollis is equally passionate about working with all LGBTQIA+ folx throughout their pregnancies and postpartum. In her work as a doula, Hollis draws upon her own experience of preterm birth at 24 weeks, being hospitalized herself for nearly a month, and navigating a 97-day NICU stay as a cis queer person with a non-binary spouse. In addition to helping parents advocate in various medical situations, Hollis offers extensive knowledge about exclusive pumping, cloth diapering, and resilience during and after the NICU.

Masterclass Teacher

Stephanie (they/them) is a board certified lactation consultant and reproductive health advocate living and working in Philly, PA (occupied Lenni-Lenape land.) They currently split their time between hospital and private practice in addition to facilitating a weekly infant feeding support group. Their professional work experience includes over ten years as a nanny, birth, abortion, loss and postpartum doula and current practice involves teaching, mentorship, and direct-client care. They center queer and trans parents and have an accessible/inclusive practice. The work is home for them and they create that same safe space for clients. When not working, you can find them crocheting on the couch in between Peter the dog and Lawrence the cat. Their sweater in this photo is from @jamiimidwife.

Daisy Hamory is a Xicana, bilingual doula providing inclusive full spectrum birth and postpartum support to families in occupied Tongva territory, also known as Los Angeles. Inspired by Mesoamerican practices and ancestral knowledge from her lineage, Daisy incorporates traditional remedies and healing modalities into her work to help best support people in their birth and postpartum journey. Daisy is a wearer of many hats and has extensive knowledge in birth, postpartum healing, babywearing, lactation/infant feeding, herbal remedies, baby care, and parenting both from her many years of personal and professional experience. Daisy has been a parent since the year 2000 and has supported families as a doula since 2012. She is a mother to 4 babies and 2 bonus babies ranging in ages from 4-28. She has a dog, some chickens, and a frog and her husband helps grow their native and medicinal plant garden. Her pronouns are she/her/ella. Her youngest 3 are unschooled and she sends funny memes and gifs to her older 3 who now live in different parts of the country.
