Our CE courses do not include a certification option, unless specifically stated. However, you will receive a certificate of completion upon completing all of the lessons in the course.

Q: Q -Will the organization I am certified with allow me to use these courses as CEUs?
A: A - Possibly! Many organizations recognize our continuing education courses and will allow their members to use them for continuing education hours. All of the details about how many hours of content each course includes can be found in our course catalog. Be sure to confirm with your organization directly about how many hours our courses will count for, they may have a different criteria than we do. If you are looking for MEAC-accredited courses we offer these directly!
Q: Q - I run an organization, can I purchase seats in bulk for my students/employees?
A - Yes! This can be for the live or prerecorded version of our classes. Please reach out if you are interested in discussing this. Learn more about our packages here.
Q - I cannot attend the live class! What should I do?
A - Not to worry! All of our live classes are recorded and the recordings will be available on our learning platform for all enrolled students. If you missed the live class portion altogether, our classes will usually be available in prerecorded format once the live classes have concluded.
Q - How long do I have with the course material?
A - You will have one year from your date of enrolment (please note this is the day you purchase the course, not the day it begins) to complete all the course material. If you need more time at that point, we can offer a one-time six month extension if you are in good payment standing.
Q - I am looking for a continuing education in a topic that you don’t offer. Do you have new offerings coming soon?

Q - Do you offer payment plans?
Generally, our CE’s do not have payment plans, but if you need a specific arrangement, please email us at info@birthingadvocacy.org.

Our Continuing Education (CE) Courses

This continuing education course covers racism and privilege and their effects in birth work. Topics that we will touch on include: Birth, Racism, Privilege & its Effects, White Silence, The History of Racism in Birth, and Action Steps.

This CE course is brought to you through a special collaboration with MaryNissi Lemon, Childbirth Educator, Doula, and BADT Core Teacher. In this course, students will gain a complete understanding of the placenta encapsulation process — from preparation and safety to client care.

This prerecorded continuing education course is suitable for anyone who is interested in learning more about bereavement, and supporting families navigating pregnancy and infant loss.

All lessons are taught by educators with lived experience as QT people, as well as professional experience serving QT families.
This course is suitable for new doulas and care workers, and experienced professionals. There are no prerequisites to enroll in this course. You do not need to be a doula or have any specific background experience. This course does not result in certification.
This continuing education course is suitable for anyone interested in learning more about the reproductive health of Queer & Trans people through the childbearing years, and how to support clients during these experiences.

This prerecorded continuing education course is suitable for anyone who is interested in learning more in-depth information about fertility & conception, supporting families navigating trying to conceive, infertility, and reproductive loss.

This prerecorded 8-module course was designed as a resource for doulas interested in becoming Medicaid-approved providers, featuring tips, links, step-by-step scenarios, and advice from our team. This course will include live advice sessions each quarter, where you can join by Zoom and get guidance on specific situations. Note: BADT does not guarantee outcomes.
